4 Things to Think About Right Now for NZ Business Owners - Covid-19 Coronavirus Lockdown

Lou, from Q-Link here.

Hope you’re doing OK out there?

It’s a challenging time for business owners right now. So let’s work together to get through this difficult time for family, business and Aotearoa. Please get in contact if you’ve got specific questions and we’ll do our best to help.

Here are 4 things to think about right now:

  1. Client & Suppliers - have you been in contact with your clients and suppliers?
It’s a good time to get in touch to sure up those bridges. Everyone is suffering, so it’s worth finding out how your clients and suppliers are doing, and by working together you can get through these tough times.

  2. Staff - how are your staff? Hopefully by now you’ve got your remote working systems in place. In addition don’t forget to provide emotional support and comfort to your staff so they feel like they’re still part of your team.

  3. Contingency plan - How does your contingency plan look? It’s important to get the people you trust such as your advisors, round you. They will help you work through different scenarios and navigate your way through the challenges ahead.

  4. Numbers - how are your finances looking for the months ahead?
Numbers are your reality in business. What do your revenue and costs look like for the months ahead - April, May, June, July. Going forward, forecasted financial planning will help you obtain government subsidies.

And once again, we are here to help and support you. Please get in contact if you’ve got specific questions and let's see what we can do together.

Kia kaha.
